The October Gold project is located 105 kilometres southwest of Timmins, Ontario in the underexplored southern Swayze greenstone which represents the southwestern extension of the Abitibi greenstone belt, considered to be one of the most well-endowed mineral belts in the world for precious and base metal deposits.  The property straddles a ~15 kilometre portion of the Ridout deformation zone (“RDZ) which hosts the Côté Gold project 35 kilometres to the southwest, currently being developed by IAMGOLD Corporation and Sumitomo Metal Mining Co. Ltd..  It is also 50 kilometres southeast of Newmont Corporation’s Borden gold mine.

The RDZ is considered to be the western extension of the Larder Lake-Cadillac deformation zone (“LLCDZ”).  The Kirkland Lake deposits and Kerr Addison-Chesterville gold deposits, associated with the LLCDZ, have historic gold production exceeding 49 million ounces.

Access to the October Gold property is via Trans-Canada Highway and a network of forestry roads which transect the property.
